In a recent interview with Asriran, Iranian pop singer Assef Aria shared his thoughts on participating in reality shows, describing them as a “double-edged sword.” He believes that such shows can either enhance a celebrity’s public image or potentially harm it.

Aria, who recently appeared in the second season of the reality series “Shab-haye Mafia,” discussed his experience with the game and the show. He mentioned that he has been playing Mafia with friends for about three years and usually takes on the role of the moderator to avoid direct competition with friends or colleagues. He emphasized that the true value of these games lies in the camaraderie and entertainment they provide, rather than winning or losing.

Regarding his participation in the show, Aria expressed that it was a challenging yet enjoyable experience, allowing viewers to see his true, more humorous personality, contrary to the serious image some might have of him. He highlighted the importance of authenticity in such programs, suggesting that celebrities should present their genuine selves to connect better with the audience.

Aria also commented on the broader topic of artists exploring different fields. He argued against judging individuals who venture into new areas, citing the example of Pejman Jamshidi, who faced criticism when transitioning into cinema but eventually proved his talent and gained popularity. Aria believes that people should be given the opportunity to test their abilities in new domains without premature judgment.
